In the January 2014 edition of Shot Business Daily, writer David Draper reports in his article about Marlin that even the “lagging economy” and hardest of hits to the company in the last decade will not keep Marlin products from selling. In 2010 the decision was made to close the North Haven Plant and move Marlin to Remington-operated factories in Ilion, New York. “Remington not only had to move the company, but also hire and train a new workforce to build these rifles.”

“Through it all Remington remained committed to saving Marlin.”

The article features XS Sight Systems Ghost Ring Sight on the Marlin 1895 Lever Action rifle.
